Avoid Slow and Lag Computers

How to get rid of slow and lag PC. Here are some stuffs that i do always on my PC and it is very effective especially in older PC.


Clean All Browsers History (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari etc.)

First clean all of your browser's history, all browser that installed in your PC. For example in Google Chrome. This is my default browser on my PC and i love it! LoL!

First. Click settings then history.

Second. Click "Clear all data in browsing.

Then click "in the beggining of time". This can remove some memory used by your browser. This will makes your PC runs faster than before and do this every twice a week.

Clean the Temp Folders and Prefetch

Cleaning the temp folder and prefetch folder some says that is not good its because your OS used it, but it is obviously its only means temporary. Most old PC's runs faster when you clean the temp folder and the prefetch folder in Windows XP.

 Go to your desktop then click the windows icon then type in the search box "%temp%" and the temp folder will appear. If you are using Windows XP same thing, click the "Run" then do same thing.

You can see a lot of files inside the temp folder maybe around hundreds of files buffering your memory of your PC. Dont be afraid to delete these files, these are just temporary files that they used before they dont need these anymore. Delete these files, Click "Ctrl + A" then Click "Delete Key".

Second is the prefetch folder, prefetch is for Windows XP only just follow the same instruction above and  do the same. Windows 7 has no prefetch folder.

Disk Clean Up

Disk Clean Up is a windows clean up utility that removes unnecessary files in your drives.

Just click windows icon, click "All Programs" then click "Accessories" then "Sytem Tools" and run the Disk Clean Up.

Disk Defrag

Disk defragment is a windows utility that rearrange your files that stored inside your harddisk drive, so that your computer easily read the data in your harddisk faster.

Just click windows icon, click "All Programs" then click "Accessories" then "Sytem Tools" and run the Disk Defrag.

And one thing, schedule your Anti-Virus for scanning this may help you big.
