Avoid Slow and Lag Computers

How to get rid of slow and lag PC. Here are some stuffs that i do always on my PC and it is very effective especially in older PC.


Clean All Browsers History (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari etc.)

First clean all of your browser's history, all browser that installed in your PC. For example in Google Chrome. This is my default browser on my PC and i love it! LoL!

First. Click settings then history.

Second. Click "Clear all data in browsing.

Then click "in the beggining of time". This can remove some memory used by your browser. This will makes your PC runs faster than before and do this every twice a week.

Clean the Temp Folders and Prefetch

Cleaning the temp folder and prefetch folder some says that is not good its because your OS used it, but it is obviously its only means temporary. Most old PC's runs faster when you clean the temp folder and the prefetch folder in Windows XP.

 Go to your desktop then click the windows icon then type in the search box "%temp%" and the temp folder will appear. If you are using Windows XP same thing, click the "Run" then do same thing.

You can see a lot of files inside the temp folder maybe around hundreds of files buffering your memory of your PC. Dont be afraid to delete these files, these are just temporary files that they used before they dont need these anymore. Delete these files, Click "Ctrl + A" then Click "Delete Key".

Second is the prefetch folder, prefetch is for Windows XP only just follow the same instruction above and  do the same. Windows 7 has no prefetch folder.

Disk Clean Up

Disk Clean Up is a windows clean up utility that removes unnecessary files in your drives.

Just click windows icon, click "All Programs" then click "Accessories" then "Sytem Tools" and run the Disk Clean Up.

Disk Defrag

Disk defragment is a windows utility that rearrange your files that stored inside your harddisk drive, so that your computer easily read the data in your harddisk faster.

Just click windows icon, click "All Programs" then click "Accessories" then "Sytem Tools" and run the Disk Defrag.

And one thing, schedule your Anti-Virus for scanning this may help you big.

Ready Boost

Want your flash drive convert to your pc memory? Ready Boost is a new features of Microsoft for Windows Vista, Windows 7 and maybe in windows 8 too i haven't installed yet their new OS but probably, i think windows 8 have too. This kind of tricks will really boost your pc.This feature requires minimum of 256mb of flashdrive with a maximum of 256gb. Isn't fascinating!LoL!

Step 1. Plug your flash drive into your USB port.

Step 2. Click the "Dedicate this device" then click "Apply" and "Ok".

Step 3. Finally, you will see the file from ready boost if you click your flashdrive. But you cannot use your flashdrive if you dedicated it, if you want it to make it back to normal just right click your flashdrive then "properties" and click "ready boost" and then "Do not use this device" it will back to normal flashdrive again.

Old PC running Windows 7 Home Premium

The picture below was my computer, lol! I can't bought a new one.It's a pentium 4 3.0Ghz with a 2Gig of memory but Windows 7 Home Premium service pack 1 running on it. Yes, this is true, you can do this too.

All you have to do is follow the requirements needed for windows 7. First, you need a procie that has 1.8gig or higher, a 2gig ram and then a windows 7 installation disk. Run windows 7, Ola! there is your there's your old computer runnning on Windows 7. 

Blue Screen Error "BSOD"!

How to fix blue screen error? I made this troubleshoot on how to fix your blue screen error or they called famously "The Blue Screen Of Death" because i had a big problem on this before. First, there is a lot of things to figure it out to solve this blue screen error and it means you have a hardware or a software ( drivers, apps, etc. ) thats you have installed incorrectly or not compatible to your computer or maybe your harddisk is too old.

Here are some troubleshoots you can make to solve this BSOD.

• If you installed any driver or any application before the bluescreen happened try to restart your computer then uninstall it on safe mode (press F8 most of computers).
• Try to scan it with Kaspersky Anti-Virus even if its free trial just to remove the Boot Virus. Kaspersky is one of the best anti-virus that scan boot sector very well.
• Check your HDD cables maybe it is loose or replace it with working one. 
• Maybe your Harddisk too old try to ask someone who knows how to use Hiren's Boot CD to check your harddrive and fix it.
• Format your harddrive and remove any partitions, there is a malware in your partition/s (This was happened to me).
